John's story

John's story

My friend Jake had recently moved back home and was looking to start fresh at a company where he could grow. I knew he had an extensive background in customer service and felt that he would be great fit here in our Evansville, IN center. Now Jake’s making a difference on the phones and saying that this is the perfect job for him.

I'm very proud to have helped a good friend join a company that will stand behind him and support his dreams – just as they have mine. Thanks AT&T (once again) for improving not only my life, but a good friend's life as well

Francine's story

Francine's story

After Hurricane Andrew hit, I lost everything. I didn’t know what I would do for my family – we had nothing left but the clothes on our back. Thankfully, the AT&T family came together, donating items and money to help us out. When I think back, I don’t know what we would’ve done without them. All I knew at the time was that I wanted to work for a company that had the heart that you find here at AT&T.

When I had the chance to recommend Jennifer Hale as a wire tech, I told her my story of how this job changed my life – and that it would change hers too. She has been working here for four months, and just the other day, she came over to me and gave me a big hug. She said that she didn't believe me at first, but her life really has already changed. For her, AT&T is more than just a job – it’s also a chance to join a family that looks after each other.

I’m overjoyed that I could pay it forward. Thank you, AT&T, for helping me give someone else the opportunity to make a life-changing decision by starting a career here

James's story

It feels great to know that I helped someone join the AT&T family. It really is more than just a job. It’s both a career and a family. AT&T is an amazing company to work for – and now my friend can make a great life for himself too.

Kenya's story

Kenya's story

My childhood best friend (who I’ve known since I was 5) and her husband relocated from Florida back to Chicago. They knew I worked for AT&T and reached out to see if it would be a good place for her husband. I asked about his previous experience and thought he would be a great fit as a Premise Tech.

He was thrilled when he was hired. They thanked me – but I didn’t know the real impact it had until I recently saw them. They let me know how much they appreciated this opportunity – and how it’s transformed their lives. Now they have health insurance and access to all the other perks that come with working at AT&T. I’m very thankful I was able to help them – and even more thankful that he’s so happy in his new position. AT&T rocks! I love my career, and he does too.

Sherman's story

Sherman's story

I’m always thinking about the talented individuals I know that are looking for employment. I recently referred a family member who served in the military and completed college, but was having trouble building a career. I’m very proud I was able to help him become an employee with one of the greatest companies in the world, and I’m sure he’ll prove to be a great asset. Honestly, I didn't think the referral process would work – but now I truly believe in it.

Terri's story

Terri's story

My nephew was very unhappy at his previous job and, after trying to make a go of it on his own, had to move back home with his parents to make ends meet. At the time, he was thinking it would take him up to four months to get out of debt and find a new place to live.

After being home for only a month, he got the call from AT&T and started the interview process. He landed a position as a U-verse Technician and couldn’t be happier. He's already back out on his own, loves his job and is very proud to be working for a company where the opportunities are limitless. I couldn't be prouder of him and wish him the best in his new career!
